For Eden Tea, success is not only measured by the quality of tea it produces, but also by the positive impact, it creates within the community and the environment.

Over the years, Karirana Estates Ltd. has supported communities across Kiambu County through school donations, support for children’s homes and internships. The various community initiatives are aimed at improving lives and creating opportunities.

Environmental conservation remains a major priority for Karirana Estates Limited. Through partnerships with organizations such as Kenya Forest Service, we continue to support tree planting, forest conservation, and the protection of water catchment areas.

As a member of the Kamiti River Water Resource Users Association (WRUA), Karirana Estates Limited actively promotes sustainable water use and environmental responsibility by donating indigenous tree seedlings and supporting conservation initiatives around the Kamiti River, Mutosi Dam, and the Karirana 2 Water Spring. We also partner with Equity Bank, which provides fruits and indigenous tree seedlings that are distributed to our farmers and surrounding communities to promote environmental conservation, food security, and sustainable livelihoods.

Beyond conservation, Karirana Estates Limited continues to invest in people. Students from across Kenya regularly visit our tea factory to learn more about tea growing and processing. Internship opportunities help the younger generation to gain practical industry experience.

With hundreds of employees and out-growers supporting its operations, Karirana Estates Limited continues to play an important role in the social and economic growth of the surrounding communities.

By combining quality tea production with environmental stewardship and community support, Karirana Estates Limited continues to stand out as an organization that genuinely cares for people, nature, and the country’s future.
